It starts with Grassroots...

The journey to the top of football often has a familiar starting point

Tom, like most players, started his footballing journey with his local grassroots club, there he developed a love of the game that would take him to the top. However, almost as important, were the relationships he built on the pitch with people who would become lifelong friends.

But, for clubs like Penyffordd FC, where Tom started out, things are tough. They, like many clubs, rely on volunteers (often parents with full time jobs) to deliver football education to the next generation of young players. These volunteers are rarely football experts and they need help.

So, when The Coaching Manual offered Tom the opportunity to provide high quality education to the grassroots coaches and players at his childhood club, he jumped at the chance.
