For clubs in Ireland

Football coaching for clubs and coaches in Ireland

Full football sessions filmed being coached, from the youngest players to elite, plus season plans and club-wide accounts for clubs north and south, volunteer coaches and coaching coordinators.

In short: The Coaching Manual gives every coach at your club proven sessions they can watch being coached, then run with their own team. Volunteer coaches get support between FAI and Irish FA coaching courses, and clubs get one standard across every age group. Clubs from £950 a year; individual coaches can start free.

Built for how clubs in Ireland work

  • Underage football. Fun, game-based sessions for the youngest players, ready to run with set-up, timings and coaching points.
  • Volunteer coaches. Most underage coaches are parents and volunteers with limited time. Every session shows how it's coached on video, so they're not guessing.
  • Older age groups. More depth as players grow: possession, pressing, playing out from the back and individual technical work.
  • Coaching coordinators. Share season plans and a club curriculum across every team, and see which coaches are using what.
  • North and south. For clubs in Northern Ireland and the Republic, whatever your season dates.

Support between coaching courses

FAI courses such as the PDP modules, and Irish FA coaching courses, give coaches a foundation. Most of a coach's development happens afterwards, week to week with their own team, often with nobody to watch or ask. That's the gap we're built for: expert coaches to watch, copy and learn from every week, between one course and the next.

Every session is filmed being coached, so you see the set-up and hear when and how the coach steps in. It's the quickest way to pick up the part a written plan can't show you: the delivery.

"We've had a curriculum for the last four or five years, but I had been looking for ways in which we can support our coaches on its delivery. The Season Plans and Folders functionalities on The Coaching Manual have really helped."

Marc Gamble, Head of Football, Greenisland FC, County Antrim

Greenisland is run by 100 volunteers and coached by UEFA-licensed coaches. Read how they use The Coaching Manual.

Questions clubs ask

What's the best football coaching app for a club in Ireland?

It depends what you need. If you want every coach, from underage volunteers to senior coaches, working from proven sessions they can watch being coached, The Coaching Manual is built for that. See our honest comparison of coaching apps.

Do you have sessions for underage football?

Yes. There are fun, game-based sessions for the youngest age groups and every age group after, ready to run with set-up, timings and coaching points, and each one is filmed being coached.

Does it work for clubs in Northern Ireland and the Republic?

Yes. The Coaching Manual works for clubs north and south, and Greenisland in Northern Ireland is one of the clubs on our Nexus programme.

How does it help coaches between FAI and Irish FA courses?

Courses give you a foundation; most learning happens week to week with your own team. Watching experienced coaches deliver sessions, trying them yourself and reflecting is one of the most practical ways to keep developing.

How much does it cost for a club in Ireland?

Club accounts start from £950 a year. Individual coaches can start on the free Basic plan, with Standard at £36 and Premium at £60 a year. See our pricing page.
