Starting his career at Queens Park, Alan played more than 300 professional games for teams such as Everton, Crystal Palace, Dundee United, and Blackburn Rovers before becoming a coach. He was a youth coach at various clubs and also managed West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.

In this interview, Alan discusses his playing career, coaching journey, and his thoughts around the game - as well as advice for young and aspiring coaches.
